My Farewell (Poem)
|
My Farewell |
My Farewell
When I entered all were happy
I passed a long time here sappy
Infancy to youth, until I shone
I looked many ups and down
In my youth dreamt of;
Fairies and beauty’s glance
There were too longings and wishes
Unfulfilled, Oh I perish
Then came a moment
When I went-
-to my eternal home
It was the departure of life’s groom
With the bride of death
People adorned me with wreath
Among sobs and wails
My funeral moved which I avail
On reaching grave’s rear
People offered burial prayer
Then they buried me
And went away freely
To saying me, this is your dwell
By this way, they bid me a farewell
